Following on from our recent communications, we are writing to provide a brief update on the proposed merger between Omega Multi-Academy Trust (OMAT) and Wade Deacon Trust (WDT).

As we outlined in our letter on 2 June, over recent months both Trusts have been engaged in positive and constructive discussions regarding the potential merger of our two organisations. It is now clear to both boards that this represents a strong, strategic opportunity, bringing benefits through shared expertise, increased capacity for school improvement, enhanced long-term sustainability, and opportunities for all concerned.

We are continuing to undertake a robust due diligence process, with a view to completing this during this term. Subject to approvals, the merged organisation would be known as The Wade Deacon Omega Trust (WDOT).

We warmly welcome your views on the proposed merger and encourage you to share any feedback or comments via the following link: Feedback Form - Proposed Trust Merger , so that these can be fully considered as part of the decision-making process.

We will continue to keep you updated as the process progresses.  We understand that you will have many questions and, as these are received, we will continue to update our FAQ document.

Thank you for your continued support.
