Students at Great Sankey High School had the opportunity to step into the world of cutting-edge technology during a Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence workshop led by IBM.

Pupils from Years 9, 10, 12, and 13 took part in hands-on sessions that brought the world of AI to life while working with professionals from the global technology company.

During the sessions, pupils explored the core concepts of machine learning and were challenged to design and present their own AI apps, discovering how intelligent systems can solve real-world problems.

Budding computer scientists at Barrow Hall College also had the opportunity to ask IBM professionals about careers in AI engineering, software development, and the wider IT industry to gain invaluable insight into future pathways.

The workshops and guidance from IBM were invaluable in helping students understand the future opportunities available in tech and the future of technology.
